The Depths of Simplicity

Beauty is an ecstasy; it is as simple as hunger.
There is really nothing to be said about it. It is like the perfume of a rose:
you can smell it and that is all.

To me, this labyrinth of petals shows that simplicity and complexity often reside in the same place.

When I delve into those deepest areas, I come right back to the realization that no matter how much I might overthink something....it just is what it is.

  1. Amazing photograph and your thoughts are oh so true. As I work on my novel I've come to the same conclusion. No point in overthinking things. It all comes back to something simple.

  2. So true....it is what it is. Simple really.

Your photography is amazing. This piece especially captures the beauty and detail of a "simple" rose.

  3. Thank you Kathy and Kim!
The funniest part is, after I posted this blog I kept coming back and re-reading it to see if it made sense. So much for learning my lesson about overthinking! HAH!

    I sure appreciate your comments!
